This event is organised by the School of Computer and Communication Sciences of the EPFL.

During this period, the activities of the department and it's laboratories are centred on research and a large number of visiting scholars from renowned international institutes are invited.  The purpose is to create an informal but rich environment that is a fertile ground for the development of new ideas and the consolidation of on-going research.

Each speaker is invited to give a one-hour talk on his research, comprehensible to a general audience.
